During the session overall progress of police teams on incidents of kidnapping and abuse of women and children were reviewed.
IGP Punjab ordered DPOs to investigate the cases of child and women sexual abuse and kidnapping directly under their supervision.
The callous accused involved in cases of acid throwing on women deserves no concession, IG Punjab.
Inspector General Police Punjab Captain retired Arif Nawaz Khan said that it is the top priority of Punjab police to protect women and children and also get those accused punished strictly who are involved in incidents of abuse and murder of children and women therefore all RPOs and DPOs along with all field officers should take prompt measures in order to recover kidnapped women and children in their relevant districts and regions and if any negligence or slackness is committed in this regard then the liable officers and officials should get themselves ready for departmental action. He directed DPOs to investigate the cases of child and woman kidnapping and abuse directly under their supervision and also take firm steps to ensure information sharing and other mutual cooperation between Child Protection Bureau and other concerned institutions. IGP directed to send report on daily basis regarding actions conducted by police teams to operations branch. He further said that actions should speed up regarding arrest of the accused involved in murder of innocent children in Chunnian at Kasur and also all technology based scientific tactics should be adopted to arrest such criminals. He moreover said that Addl IG Investigation should keep a close coordination with JIT who is working in Chunnian case. These views were expressed by him while chairing a high level meeting of officers.
Addl IG opearions Inaam Ghani while briefing to IG Punjab said that among the missing children, most of the children have left their homes due to rebuke by parents and teachers, failure in exam, domestic issues and due to bad health whereas the ratio of cases of kidnapped children due to ransom or other motives is less and Police are committed for safe recovery of missing children on priority basis by day and night. in this regard, help of every community is being sought. IG Punjab directed to officers that those accused who are involved in kidnapping and sexual abuse of children and women do not deserve any concession or leniency and therefore scientific based investigation should be conducted to put such callous criminals behind the bars and also get them punished strictly so that the affected family could get immediate justice. He further said that JIT of Chunian should quickly unveil the faces of criminals and murderers and take them in the court of law so that society should be provided complete protection from such monsters in the future. He added that, there should be no delay in taking action against those who are accused of acid throwing on women and on weekly basis reports of acid throwing incidents and actions taken against it should be submitted to Central Police Office.
