Five held over aerial firing footage

GUJRANWALA: The city police arrested five suspects for uploading their video footage of aerial firing online and seized four pistols and one rifle from them.

Muhammad Sufyan, Muhammad Azeem, Dilshad, Asim Khan and Muhammad Arslan, of Kamoke, uploaded their pictures and videos online which went viral. They have been sent behind bars.

KILLED: A former union council chairman was shot dead by two persons over an enmity here on Tuesday.

According to the first information report, Botranwali former Union Council chairman Chaudhry Mahmoodul Hassan was at his kiln when Babar Hussain and Abdul Sattar came there and opened fire at him. He suffered two bullet injuries and fell.

The family took him to the civil hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

His son Shoaib Mahmood said they were prosecuting old cases with them who killed his father. The Aroop police station registered a case.
