Kidnapped infant girl recovered

TOBA TEK SINGH: An Arrouti police team raided Tandlianwala (Faisalabad) on Thursday and recovered an infant girl who was kidnapped on Oct 26 on the second day of the annual Urs of Pir Syed Qutab Ali Shah of Sindhilianwali.

A police official said that four-month-old Fatima Bibi went missing near the shrine where the family from Jhang came to pay homage to the saint.

The police geo-fenced the area and with the help of the data traced kidnappers Shamin Bibi, of Sindhilianwali, and her son Tanweer.

Both confessed kidnapping the infant girl and later selling her to a childless family of Tandlianwala.

KILLED: A woman died under the wheels of a tractor trolley in Gojra on Thursday.

The Gojra Saddar police said Rafiqan Bibi, 60, was standing at the bus stop on Gojra-Moongi Road when the tractor -rolley hit her.

She died of wounds while being shifted to the Gojra tehsil headquarters hospital.
