Punjab Police has established two help desks for protection and facility of Sikh pilgrims and tourists.

The deputed staff on these help desk by Punjab highway patrol will provide security, help and guidance to tourists.

As per the vision of Inspector General of Police Punjab Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan, steps have been taken to provide best arrangements to sikh pilgrims coming to Darbar sahib Kartarpur at Narowal. In this regard, as per directions of Addl IG Punjab highway patrol captain retired Zafar Iqbal, patrolling police have established two help desk at Kartarpur corridor. According to the details, following the directions of Addl IG patrolling, Force has been deputed over help desk to provide security, help and guidance of Sikh pilgrims and tourists. Under the supervision of one DSP, 10 sub inspectors, 18 Assistant sub inspectors, 21 head constables, 44 constables and other staff have been appointed over there who have been provided modern vehicles and motorcycles by which they will do patrolling for security of tourists.  One help desk has been established at Indian border and the other help desk has been established at Pakistani side by the patrolling police where the officials of patrolling police will ensure facilities to tourists. For patrolling, two vehicles and 4 motorcycles will undertake patrolling on the way from border to the Darbar where  tourists will not only be helped out but also guided. Moreover, first aid will also be provided in case of any emergency situation which will made the tourists secured and improve soft image of Police.
