JHANG: Police claimed to have arrested one of the top 10 proclaimed offenders of the district involved in the killing of a Mazari tribe elder and his grandson in November 2019.
Atta Muhammad Mazari Baloch and his grandson Usama had been killed in Mazari village, around 40 kilometres from here.
The inspector general of police (IGP) had taken Jhang police high-ups to task and gave the orders after taking notice of a video that recently went viral on social media showing Usama’s two young brothers carrying guns to school for protection from any potential attack by the suspect.
Following orders of the IGP, the Jhang district police officer (DPO) had constituted several teams to arrest the suspect. The teams traced and arrested Rab Nawaz alias Dhala along with his accomplice, Mujahid, reportedly from Karachi within 48 hours of the IGP’s orders.
