TOBA TEK SINGH: Arrouti police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran after registering a case against him under section 295-B of PPC.
Adil Hussain Shahzad said in his complaint that ‘I’ – a resident of Pindi Ghaziabad area of Sindhillianwali – set Quranic pages on fire at three places along the boundary wall of the Government Boys and Girls Primary School of Chak 763-GB.
RAIN: Hundreds of trees were uprooted and signboards collapsed amid windstorm and rain on Monday night. The weather conditions also damaged electricity poles and wires leaving many areas in darkness.
