Police arrest several outlaws

During a special crackdown, police have arrested two dacoits, four kite dealers and three other persons on changes of shooting and injuring two men from various areas of city, informed a spokesman on Monday.

A trader of Sadiqabad was also rounded up by police for resorting to aerial firing, he said. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation was on. According to him, Race Course police, under command of Station House Officer(SHO) Inspector Mian Imran Abbas, have arrested two active members of Sindhu gang for their alleged involvement in motorcycle snatching. The accused have been identified as Raheem and Farooq from whom police also seized Rs 50,000 cash, a motorcycle and weapons, he said. During the investigation, the accused have confessed their involvement in a series of robbery and motorcycle snatching incidents. City Police Officer(CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated the efforts of SSP Potohar Division Syed Ali, SDPO Cantt Circle and SHO PS Race Course Inspector Mian Imran Abbas for netting the dacoits.
