The Operation Wing, CPO, Punjab, Lahore was establish in the year of 1994. It comprises of Control Room, Operations Branch and Media Cell (DPR), which functions round the clock under the following command structure:-
- Addl: IGP/Operations, Punjab
- DIG/Operations, Punjab
- AIG/Operations, Punjab
The Operation Wing, CPO Punjab, Lahore monitors law & order situation in the province and issues instructions/SOPs for ensuring security of the VVIPs/VIP/LEAs, Vital Installation/ Important Buildings, Government Installations etc. Further it carries out verifications of character & antecedents of overseas Pakistanis.
