AHMEDPUR EAST-The Police Investigation Team recovered 100 tolas of gold stolen from Sial Jewellers, following the information extorted from members of the dacoits' gang busted by the police.
The team was headed by the City Police SHO. The members of the dacoit gang including Allah Ditta, Nisar, Mushtaq, Salamat Ali, Nadeem, Qaisar, Saleem, Ikramul Haq and Abdul Rasheed confessed during interrogation to the CIA Police in Lahore that their gang had taken away 1,429 tolas of gold from Sial Jewellers situated in Ahmedpur East some three years ago.
Meanwhile, the police sources said that the gang comprised of 41 members and wanted in cases of different nature to various police stations across the country. Further investigation is in progress.
