Eight cops awarded

LAHORE – CCPO Ahmad Raza Tahir, who is also Chairman of Lahore Drug Free City Project, on Wednesday distributed cash prizes and commendatory certificates among eight police officers who displayed outstanding performance during crackdown against drug peddling and drug selling in the city.

Those police officers who were awarded for their excellent performance, in the field during the current year from April to till June included: In City Division, Incharge Investigation, Bhatti Gate Inspector Malik Mushtaq for recovering 51 kg drugs, was rewarded Rs 44,000; Sub-Inspector Allah Ditta police station Shahdara Town, for recovering 5 kg drugs was rewarded Rs 5000.

In Mujahid Squad, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Idrees for recovering 20 kg drugs was rewarded Rs 18,000; In CIA, ASI Shakeel Ahmed police station Sanda for recovering 10 kg drugs was rewarded Rs 9000; In Iqbal Town Division Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal police station Wahdat Colony for recovering 10 kg drugs was rewarded Rs 8000, Sub-Inspector Saeed Akhtar police station Wahdat Colony, for recovering five kg drugs was rewarded Rs 5000, In Saddar Division, Inspector Muhammad Ishaq Investigation police Sabzazar for recovering six kg drugs was rewarded Rs 6000 and, In Cantt Division, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ismaeal police station Baghbanpura for recovering five kg drugs was rewarded Rs 5000, and a total amount of Rs 100,000 was distributed among these police officers.

According to a police spokesman, CCPO Ahmad Raza Tahir also presided over a high-level meeting regarding Lahore a Drug Free City Project, in which Focal Person SSP Discipline and Inspection Shariq Kamal was also present.
