MULTAN: Multan police have found clue to the kidnappers of Ali Haider, son of former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, and it is very much possible that he might be recovered very soon.

City Police Officer Multan DIG Ghulam Mehmood Dogar told reporters that police adopted line of action regarding recovery of Ali Gilani and the force is acting upon it.

He said it is difficult to say if Ali is alive or not, because neither the kidnappers accepted responsibility nor they made any contact with Gilani’s family.

He said those arrested from Akora Khattak did not kidnap Ali Gilani.

He said during the last one month, police arrested some 40 suspects including 15 dangerous gangsters and recovered 71 motorcycles, one car, one mini truck, three Kalashnikovs, three riffles, 121 pistols, 51 revolvers, three daggers, 19 carbines and 530 rounds from Multan district. - Online
