RAWALPINDI: Rawal Town Superintendent of Police (SP) Malik Matloob Awan said on Sunday that police are going to take action against the kite sellers in garrison city. Talking to APP here he said that kite selling will not be allowed and action will be taken against those who were found involved in the illegal practice. He said that police teams are being constituted to arrest the kite sellers and their belongings will be confiscated.

The SP said that police are ready to entertain any complaint adding that they would take action against the kite sellers without any pressure. On the other hand, kite flying went unchecked during the Eidul Fitr holidays.

The kite sellers did their business without any fear of police action. Kite flying has been banned in the city but these could be seen in the sky in Satellite Town, Waris Khan, Naz Cinema, College Road, Umer Road, Dhoke Khaba, Dhoke Ealhi Bukush, Nadeem Colony and Chaman Zar.

The citizens have asked the police to take immediate action against the kite sellers and flyers because it results in waste of time and loss of human lives. app
