LAHORE: City traffic police set up an awareness camp on Mall Road to discourage underage drivers and highlight utility of seatbelts on Thursday.
Chief Traffic Police Officer (CTO) Tayyab Hafiz Cheema, SP City Asif Siddique, private bike company manager Tasleem Shuja, schoolchildren, scouts and people were present.
They distributed pamphlets for utility of seatbelts, discouraging underage drivers and following traffic rules among people. They briefed citizens about the traffic laws.
Speaking on the occasion, the CTO said use of seatbelts could reduce chances of accidents. Underage drivers usually become the cause of accidents, he added. He said the police would keep on establishing the camp till May 11.
