Police record computerisation ordered

LAHORE: CAPITAL City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir has ordered rapid computerisation of official record of all Lahore police stations.

The CCPO said that benefiting from the latest and modern technology to uproot crime from society was need of the hour. The CCPO also ordered a full-fledged crackdown on proclaimed offenders and court absconders involved in heinous crime.

He directed the police to evolve effective strategy to nab the criminals involved in murders, dacoities and kidnap-for-ransom.

The CCPO directed the officers of the investigation and operations wings to formulate joint and concrete strategy to arrest proclaimed offenders and court absconders by giving individual targets to their sub-ordinates.

He also stressed the need to check social evils, including gambling and prostitution. He directed the all divisional SPs to further strengthen the system of search and surveillance.

The CCPO ordered prompt registration of all legitimate cases, otherwise, the SHO concerned would be proceeded against.
