LAHORE, Aug 7: DIG Operations Ghulam Mahmood Dogar paid a surprise visit to two mosques and five police stations early on Sunday and reviewed security arrangements.
According to a handout, the DIG checked security arrangements at Jamia Masjid Shadman and Jamia Masjid Ichhra and ordered to deploy more policemen during prayer and Iftar/Taraveeh timings.
Dogar visited police stations of Shadman, Nishtar Colony, Kahna, Kot Lakhpat and Muslim Town and checked discipline, cleanliness, maintenance of record and the condition of prisoners in lock-ups.
He ordered the officials to speed up crackdown on anti-social elements and criminals.
