CCPO returns looted cash to Chinese

LAHORE - CCPO Captain (retd) Mohammad Amin Wains handed over Rs300,000 to a Chinese citizen Zyan, who was robbed three months ago.
 
The CCPO said that it was the top priority of the Lahore police to protect lives and property of citizens, particularly foreigners for which all resources were being utilised.
 
He said that the Civil Lines police had made hectic efforts and managed to round up robbers Amir and Shafique who confessed to committing such crimes in various parts of the city.He informed the gathering that the Lahore police had unearthed 1168 gangs of robbers and arrested 3034 robbers during the last eight months.
 
He said that there was a significant decrease in crime after the provision of new 100 cars and 150 bikes to police stations and due to operational beat system. He appreciated SP Umar Virk and his team members and announced appreciation certificates for the police team.
