LAHORE: CAPITAL City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir ordered the Lahore Police to ensure usage of walk-through gates for security purpose on the occasion of second Jumatul Mubarik of Muharram.
He also asked divisional superintendents of police (SPs) to personally review duty of all police personnel deputed at mosques and imambargahs and ensure non-stop patrolling in their respective areas.
In his order, the CCPO also directed that the code of ethics formulated with the help of various schools of thought should be strictly implemented during Muharram according to which there was a strict ban on all provocative and hate-mongering speeches from the pulpit.
