TAXILA: The police on Wednesday seized huge quantity of commercial explosive and arrested a man.
Acting on a tip off, a police party intercepted the accused on Thatta Khalil road near Bub Bohala village and during search recovered 200 detonators and 150 meters of safety fuse wire.
A case has been registered against the accused under explosive act.
Meanwhile, robbers looted a mobile shop in a busy commercial area of the city. Junaid Javaid, the mobile shop owner, reported to the police that two armed men entered his shop and held him at pistol point.
They collected 49 mobile phones and cash worth Rs500,000 and managed to escape.
