SHEIKHUPURA: Sharqpur police arrested dozens of people associated with guava trade in the town on Thursday.The arrests were made after a bomb planted in a guava crate exploded in Islamabad on Wednesday. The crates were transported from Sharqpur, Pattoki and Arifwala.
Those taken into custody are: Boota, Tufail, Safdar Khalid and others. The truck driver, Shabbir, who offloaded the crates in Islamabad, truck stand owner Jehangir Sheikh and his son are also in police custody.
