Special Branch to check stores

Lahore – Punjab Government has assigned Special Branch the task of keeping a vigilant eye on medical stores and checking the availability of necessary medicine for dengue fever.

“Action will be taken against medical stores creating artificial shortage of Panadol and Paracetamol being used in the treatment of dengue fever”, said MNA Kh Saad Rafique while addressing an awareness seminar on Dengue fever at DHA Community Center on Sunday. Punjab Health Department, Cantonment Boards and DHA jointly organized the seminar to raise public awareness about symptoms and precautionary measures to avoid the menace.

Kh Saad Rafique said that Punjab government would protect the rights of the patients. He said that strict action would be taken against the private hospitals taking advantage of plight of the masses.

He said that government has issued instructions in this regard.

He further said the owners of private schools were bound to carryout insecticide spray in their premises, failing which action would be taken.
