VEHARI - Friendly-behaviour of the policemen is the basic key of community policing and the only door from where the masses can get justice and remedies for solutions to their problems. Though Vehari district is well-prepared for community policing, there is still some loopholes which needed to be plugged with better performance and close coordination.
Newly-posted DPO Shakir Hussain Dawar shared the views with The Nation during an exclusive chat at his office here the other day.
It is my first and foremost priority to provide justice to the needy people at the doorsteps without any delay, he pointed out, adding that no negligence or dereliction of duty would be tolerated and police officers including the DPO would ensure outreach to each individual.
The registration of fictitious cases will be rooted out and officials involve in the malpractice will be held accountable,’’ he claimed.
DPO Dawar disclosed a foolproof security plan had been chalked out for Muharram and no leniency or negligence would be tolerated in the maintenance of law and order. He also expressed satisfaction over the performance of SHOs.
He lauded the performance of Danewal Police SHO which had been declared as Model Police Station. The DPO requested the media to extend support the police by pinpoint wrongdoings and evils in society.
