BAHAWALNAGAR, Oct 13: The district police on Sunday chalked out security plan for Eidul Azha.
According to District Police Officer Athar Ismail, 2,500 policemen and volunteers would perform duty during Eid prayers across the district, while the prayers would be offered at 335 locations.
Large contingents of police would be deployed at entry and exit points of the district. A police control and emergency room was set up to respond to any emergency.
The DPO said patrolling teams had been directed to remain vigilant and patrol their area continuously. Walkthrough gates would also be installed at sensitive places. Police officers were told to remain on high alert, the DPO concluded.
