Police to modify verification certificate process

LAHORE: Keeping in view the requirements of the present situation, a decision has been finalised to modify the police verification certificate required by the people for proceeding abroad and joining services in government as well as private sectors.
 
The decision was taken by Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while presiding over a high level meeting held at the Central Police Office Lahore on Monday.

(R) Saad, AIG Operations Ahsan Younas, AIG Admin Zubain Dreshak, AIG Finance Hussain Habib Imtiaz, AIG Development Kamran Khan, AIG Legal Kamran Adil and other senior officers were also present.
 
Issues relating to the training of Special Protection Unit (SPU), capacity building of the Police Training School, passing-out parade of Dolphin Force, issuance of ATM cards for the Shuhada families and preparation of the lists of the ministerial staff who got out of turn promotion and got their cadre changed were also reviewed in the meeting.
 
It was decided that the Elite Police Force will be responsible to train the Special Protection Unit (SPU). This training course will be started from 22ndof March 2016 for the period of six months and will be held at Rawat Police Training, School.
 
It was also decided in the meeting that to enhance the capacity building of all the training schools in Punjab police, a summery will be presented before the government to establish a new training school in Sahiwal.
 
While briefing about the passing-out of the Dolphin Squad, DIG Operations Lahore Dr. Haider Ashraf told the IGP that 700 officials have completed their training, 300 motorcycles and 550 helmets have already been purchased for the purpose. He addd that the training of the rest of Dolphin Force’s batches will be started very soon.
 
The matter of the issuance of ATM cards to the families of police Shuhada, IGP was told that the banks concerned have already been provided the required details in this regard and after this settlement, the registration process of the families will be started.
