LAHORE, May 15: Capital City Police Officer Khalid Dad Lak has said maintaining peace and conducive atmosphere for impartial elections was a national obligation and challenging for the police department.
He lauded the services of officers and ‘jawans’ of the Lahore police, who performed election duties to the best of their abilities, says a press release.
He was speaking at a joint meeting of operations and investigation wing at the Police Lines, Qila Gujjar Singh on Wednesday. He said DIG Operations Jawad Ahmad Dogar, DIG Investigation Zulfiqar Hameed, SSP Operations Abdul Jabbar, SSP Investigation Abdul Rab, all SPs of operations and investigation wing, SP Security Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani, SP Mobiles Romail Akram, all officers and officials of CCPO office especially SSP IA&D Dr Raja Abid, SSP Admin, PRO Nayab Haider, PSO and other staff had worked day in and day out to ensure transparency.
Mr Lak said he was proud to have the opportunity of commanding the Lahore Police which was capable of giving best results in difficult times. He also thanked the staff of the DIGs of operations and investigation for maintaining peace during the elections.
