CCPO Announces Police Intelligence System

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Amin Wains has said Lahore police will work under triple-one in­telligence network-one man, one month, one information to control crimes from the provincial metropolis.

He introduced this net­ work at a high level meeting held at Police Lines Tuesday. DIG Operations, DIG Investigations, SSPs, SPs, SPOs, SHOs, Incharge Investigations and Moharars attended this meeting. Talking about new intelligence system, the CCPO said every police official of Lahore Police from the rank of constable to DIG will in­ form about any single crime every one which will be investigated by a board comprising three SPs.

Following the in­vestigation of the crime, an action plan will be formulated to eliminate that crime from the city. He also said a Crimi­nal Book is being prepared to arrest proclaimed offenders. The book will contain information about all POs from po­lice station level to division level and it will be distributed at the offices of SHOs and SPs. He also directed beat incharges to formulate Beat Safety Committees compris­ing notables of the area to control crimes.

The CCPO expressed dissatisfaction over performance of Rescue 15 and directed DIG Operations to start improving the service on emergency basis. He also asked divisional SPs to im­prove raid system.
