LAHORE – Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Aslam Tareen has issued orders for the implementation of Section 144 on 9th and 10th of Muharram in the provincial metropolis to maintain law and order.
Police sources said that the CCPO also ordered the police to ensure strict legal action against the violators. City police chief also said that the ban on pillion riding would be decided following the directions of the IGP.
Meanwhile, DIG Operations directed the field police officers to utilize all kind of resources to provide foolproof security at Majalis and processions. He also said that the ban on the use of loudspeakers should also be implemented in its true spirit.
