Nov 17, 2014
FAISALABAD: Police have asked heads of all the banks in the district to integrate their security system with Rescue 15, install CCTV cameras and register the entry of visitors, other than account holders, to ensure security.

The heads of Faisalabad banks and City Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik held a meeting recently and discussed security measures for the daily visitors to banks.

Apprising the bankers, the CPO said the district police had prepared a plan titled “Safe City Project” under which security alarm, panic switch and hotline would be maintained that would help banks and other segments of society to report any crime to police. He asked them to follow the Shops and Security Ordinance to improve security measures.

The bankers said they were already following the government guidelines, however, the lacunae would be improved within a week. They said efforts would be made that only account holders should be inside the bank and for this purpose a register would also be maintained to keep the record of the visitors.
