LAHORE–Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir on Wednesday visited the proposed-route of procession to be taken out on the day of Yom-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali and reviewed security arrangements it in detail.
The CCPO directed the police to remain on high-alert and perform the security duties with full vigor and efficiency.
DIG Operations Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and other senior police officers also accompanied him.
According to a police spokesman, the CCPO has already held detailed meetings with the notables of Shia community, Peace Committees, Mohala Committees and trading community of Lahore to ensure foolproof security on this occasion.
