Citizens urged to follow traffic rules

LAHORE – Chief Traffic Officer Ahmed Mobin has said that improper usage of side indicators and small distance between two moving vehicles are the major causes of frequent road accidents in the provincial capital.

He further said that common citizens especially the motorists should abide by traffic rules and regulations so that the accidents on leading roads might be averted. Giving necessary directions to all the circle officers and sector in-charges, the CTO strictly directed them to ensure complete compliance of his orders regarding the routes and lanes of public service vehicles, motorcyclists and slow moving vehicles.

He, however, requested the motorists to use FM-88.8 while driving in order to know about the vehicular activities, road blockages, diversion points and other information related to traffic department.
