Lahore, Dec 19: Over 2,000 policemen will be deployed to secure 433 churches on the eve of Christmas on Dec 25.
The Christian community will be provided foolproof security to maintain law and order on their religious occasion.
DIG (Operations) Ghulam Mehmood Doger said this while talking to a delegation of Christian leaders at his office here on Monday.
The DIG informed the delegation that four categories had been devised for the security of churches and the security plan would be finalized by Dec 22.
He said sharp shooters would be deployed at roofs and one upper-subordinate and seven policemen would be the part of security checking at each A category church with walkthrough gates.
He said the lady policemen and lady Christian volunteers would check the women visitors at churches of A and B categories.
