Police set up blood camp for dengue patients

Lahore, Sept 20: The capital city police have set up a blood camp at Qila Gujjar Singh Police. Line to donate blood to dengue patients.

Every citizen can approach Dr Muhammad Bilal Akhtar, deputed by Lahore Police, on his phone no 0333-4242327 to acquire blood.

According to a handout issued on Tuesday, the police have launched a coordinated campaign along with Solid Waste Management staff to remove pens of animals and so far 170 pens have been removed from the Cantonment area, including Ghazi Road, Railway Officer Colony, Qanchi and Madina Colony.

Capital City Police Officer Malik Ahmad Raza Tahir, presiding over a meeting at his office, said staffs set up by the government for the convenience of people in connection with dengue were being manned by police personnel to provide them foolproof security. He said continuous coordination was being made with the dengue committees set up in Punjab.

He said no laxity would be shown in connection with dengue spray at police stations, police offices, Police Lines and police residences twice a week.
