Two held, arms recovered

RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested two car-riding people, belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Wednesday at Dhoke Hameedan and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition hidden in secret parts of the car, police said.
 
The police intercepted a Toyota Corolla car bear registration number LXE-9900 at a police picket, but they sped away; however, the police party chased them and detained them.
 
They police recovered two MP guns, one SMG, seven Repeaters, 4 rifle 12-bore, three 9MM pistols, 6000 rounds 30-bore, 900 rounds of SMG.
 
The suspects identified as Arshad Khan and Akbar Afzal, residents of KP, were transporting the cache of arms and ammunition from Peshawar to Haripur when intercepted by the Rawalpindi police.
