‘Seven-member gang arrested’

LAHORE-CIA police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested seven members of Jhangvi dacoit gang including a lady dacoit allegedly involved in more than 200 strikes of dacoity and other crimes.
The spokesman claims that they have also recovered booty of worth millions of rupees from their possession. He said that accused had criminal histories and previously served in jails.  Those arrested included ring leader Imran Ahmad Khan alias Jhangvi and his six accomplices Iqbal alias Bala, Farukh, Fatima Bibi, Rizwan Ali, Kamran Ali and Imran alias Kaka.

The police also recovered Rs4.5 lacs cash, mobile phones, Motorcycles and illegal weapons from their possession. More than 250 cases were traced against accused in different areas. During preliminary interrogation the accused confessed to several bids in the limits of different police stations including Shahdra, Nawankot, Civil Lines, Sanda, Lyton road, Garden Town, township, Moazng, Sattoo Katla, Ghazi abad, Harbanspura, Mughalpora, Factory area and others.
