RAWALPINDI: Police have started a survey to gather details of the house tenants in Rawalpindi district. The data of the tenants will be computerised so as to ensure that it is available for use when required.

The house owners have also been asked to inform the nearest police station in writing when renting out their houses throughout the district.

Police sources said that cases will be registered against the owners failing to comply with the directives.

City Police Officer, Akhtar Lalika has ordered SHOs of all police stations, SDPOs and concerned SPs to complete the survey within two weeks and present a report to him.

Police have formed special forms in this regard and distributed those among public. The data is being collected in a bid to maintain law and order in the district and easily track down suspects in case of any untoward incident.
