Terrorist arrested in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Civil Lines police arrested a terrorist belonging to a defunct outfit near the LHC Bahawalpur bench on Friday.
 
Abdul Majid alias Majid was declared a proclaimed offender by an anti-terrorist court and police about seven years ago while the government had fixed Rs 500,000 bounty on him.
 
The terrorist was wanted in many terror cases, including murdering the Rahimyar Khan District Jail deputy superintendent and attacks on Zahirpir police station and an Imambargah at Zahirpir Chowk. The terrorist was planning to attack religious places nowadays. Meanwhile, SHO Amir Ghauri told The News that Abdul Majid was an expert in making bombs and suicide jackets and got training in Waziristan.
