Mujahid SP Romeel Akram ordered on Sunday beefing up security in Qurban Lines and checking regularly the departmental cards of the employees deployed there.
Chairing a meeting convened in connection with the security of Qurban Lines, the Mujahid SP stressed the need to augment security at the entrance and exit points of the lines and to provide sophisticated weapons along with wireless sets to the personnel performing duties there.
He also ordered presence of three officers of sub-inspector rank to watch the security arrangements. The meeting was attended by the DSPs of Special Branch, VVIP security, traffic police and Punjab Constabulary and Telecommunication.
The Mujahid SP also checked the weapons used by the police officials deputed at entrance and exit points and other sensitive areas.
