Baghbanpura investigation police on Sunday arrested four accused of murdering a woman and injuring her husband three months back.
Police also seized weapons from their possession. The accused persons had barged into the house of Nazir Ahmad three months ago and opened fire, killing Kalsum and wounding Nazir.
Police said the arrested accused persons, identified as Atif Waseem alias Chheema, ringleader, Faisal, Anees and Nadeem, were involved in more than 25 incidents of robbery.
Under the directions of Investigation DIG Chaudhry Shafique, the Cantt SP constituted a special team to nab the gang that was involved in various criminal activities in the area. The police party headed by the Baghbanpura police station investigation in charge, Muhammad Ghaffoor, arrested the accused from the tribal area. The accused were proclaimed offenders in various criminal cases.
