SAHIWAL, Nov 27: Noor Shah police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested six members of a robbers gang and recovered gold ornaments, mobile phones worth Rs0.7 million and weapons from them.
Talking to the media at his office here on Wednesday, District Police Officer Syed Khurram said the gang was involved in a number of robberies.
He said a team headed by City DSP Saleem Sadiq arrested ring leader Ashiq alias Nasir Odah, Siddique alias Akram, Aslam alias Bhora, Ghulam Husain alias Tooti, Waseem alias Tidi and Faiz.
Noor Shah SHO Mahmoodul Hasan told Dawn the gangsters were wanted in 13 criminal cases. He said police recovered jewellery, mobile phones, pistols, a gun and a large number of bullets from their possession.
