Special traffic plan devised for polling day

RAWALPINDI: In a bid to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the election day, the City Traffic Police issued a special traffic plan on Sunday. According to the strategy, no one would be allowed to park vehicle within 400 yards of the polling stations.
 
Chief Traffic Officer, Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said there would a complete ban on vehicles having tinted glasses and without number plate, warning that stern action would be taken against one-wheeling.
 
He said that traffic would be diverted on alternative routes for the convenience of general public, whereas additional force would be deployed on the election day. He said senior officers would supervise all the traffic operation in their respective areas on May 11.
 
He directed all traffic wardens to perform their duties with more devotion and dedication to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
