Strict action against violations on polling day

CAPITAL City Police Officer, Lahore, Khaliq Dad Lak has said the elements involved in display of firearms, firing in the air or disrupting law and order on the polling day will be dealt with an iron hand.
 
He said sub-divisional and supervisory officers would be directly held responsible for such incident in any area.
 
He said that holding of peaceful and transparent election was need of the hour and police officers and Jawans should perform their responsibilities towards this end with dedication.
 
He said that stringent action would be taken against any police official if any complaint was received against him of showing a biased attitude.
 
The CCPO was addressing a meeting of Lahore police on security arrangement for election 2013 on Tuesday.
 
He said that holding victory processions, sloganeering or throwing of crackers at the conclusion of polling or announcement of results would not be allowed at any cost and legal action against the candidates and their supporters involved in such activities while the cases would also be referred to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
 
Khaliq Dad Lak said hooliganism after the announcement of election results such as removing silencer of motorcycles would not be permitted.
 
He warned that violation of the code of conduct would not be permitted at any cost and cases against the violators would be sent to the ECP.
