CPO’s Order

Jan 08, 2014
Faisalabad: All superintendents of police have been asked to net criminals carrying a bounty, DSPs top 20 wanted men and SHOs top 10 as well as fugitives of their respective police stations.

Talking to Dawn, CPO Haider Ashraf said for the first time all officers were made responsible to work on criminals so that lives and properties of people could be protected.

He said the junior staff could not be assigned such tasks as several tips were required, including contacts of criminals and their movement, to arrest them.

Similarly, he said, DSPs would work to arrest top-20 wanted criminals and make efforts to get head money fixed on them. He said SHOs would be responsible for the arrest of proclaimed offenders of their respective areas.

He said SSPs (operations) had been instructed to monitor performance of policemen daily. Officers failing to perform accordingly would have to face the music.

The district police arrested 17,895 POs in 2013, he said.
