City Traffic Police Lahore got registered 215 cases against the wheelie doers during a special campaign against the wheelie at different police stations of the city.
According to a handout issued on Monday, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) said they had formed an anti-wheelie squad which comprised a traffic inspector and 50 wardens. They were equipped with 31 motorcycles, 10 heavy-bikes, video-cameras and other modern gadgets, he added. He said he had ordered SPs and DSPs to use all the available resources to make the campaign successful.
They have designed a comprehensive strategy to end the wheelie. People belonging to every field of life have appreciated their effort, he maintained.
A crackdown on the wheelie doers was underway and the anti-wheelie squad had submitted vide-films and other evidences against the wheelie doers and registered FIRs against them at different police-stations, he added. He advised the parents to stop their children from doing wheelie to save their lives.
