IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan takes notice on alleged rape of a woman during a dacoity in Ferozwala

Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice on the incident of alleged rape of a woman during a dacoity in Ferozwala area of Sheikhupura and has sought a report of the incident from RPO Sheikhupura. IG Punjab ordered immediate arrest of all the accused involved in the incident and said that justice should be provided to the victim on priority basis.
On the direction of IG Punjab, DPO Sheikhupura Faisal Mukhtar met the victim and her family. He said that Sheikhupura police has formed special teams for the arrest of the accused and they will be rounded up soon. DPO Sheikhupura Faisal Mukhtar further said that according to the preliminary medical report, no evidence of abuse was found, however samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory. He said that all aspects of the incident are being investigated. The immediate provision of justice to the affected woman will be ensured while fulfilling the requirements of law and justice.
