IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's direction: Compensation Award Committee meeting held,
20 lakh rupees released for the health welfare of police personnel who got injured in the line of duty.
Welfare mission of restoring the health of dutiful & brave officers and personnel should be continued without interruption, IG Punjab directed.
On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, priority measures are being taken for the health welfare of police employees, in continuation of which a meeting of the Compensation Award Committee was held under the supervision of Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara. In the meeting, 20 lakh rupees were released for the health welfare of the police employees who were injured while performing their duties.
Rahim Yar Khan's injured head constable Muhammad Jameel was given 10 lakh rupees for treatment. Two and a half lakh rupees were given each for the medical expenses of the injured constables Waqar Ahmed and Zeeshan Khadim of Mandi Bahauddin. Injured Constable Mohammad Naveed of Rahim Yar Khan was given 02 lakh fifty thousand rupees for treatment. Meanwhile, two and a half lakh rupees were released to the injured Constable Munir Ahmed of Elite Police for medical expenses.
Spokesman Punjab Police said that the above police personnel were injured in various incidents while performing their professional duties. IG Punjab directed to ensure the speedy recovery of the personnel injured in the line of duty, He said that the mission of restoring the health of dutiful and brave officers and personnel will be continued without interruption.
