Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued orders to speed up actions against the culprits involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and organized crime. IGP Punjab directed that targeted operations should be accelerated against anti-social elements involved in illegal activities such as smuggling and hoarding etc. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the security of Chinese nationals working on CPEC and non-CPEC projects is top priority and is the responsibility of the respective supervisory officers. IG Punjab. Dr. Usman Anwar directed to improve the field patrolling, suppress anti-social elements involved in smuggling and hoarding through monitoring-based policing. IG Punjab directed indiscriminate action against elements involved in land grabbing or illegal possessions and brought them to justice with strict punishments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that after Eid, the process of evacuation of illegally staying foreign nationals is being resumed across the province, the districts should keep their preparations complete in this regard. Dr. Usman Anwar said that targeted operations should be speeded up to arrest proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting held at the Central Police Office today, Additional IG South Punjab.
All RPOs, CPOs, DPOs participated in the meeting through video link, the overall law and order situation, elimination of organized crime and security arrangements for Chinese residents were reviewed in the meeting.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to improve monitoring and surveillance from inter-provincial and riverine check posts, speed up the countermeasures against criminals involved in illegal activities, Dr. Usman Anwar directed that crackdown against metal strings and kites manufacturing, business , use and menace of drugs should be intensified.All RPOs, CPOs and DPOs presented their briefings in the meeting.
