BAHAWALPUR: The Gailiwal police in Lodhran arrested a man for attempting to rape and murder a housewife in the absence of her husband in the village of Mianpur. The suspect, along with his unidentified accomplices, trespassed into her house and attempted to rape her at gunpoint. However, with the arrival of her father-in-law and other people, the suspect managed to flee.
