Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar wished the Eid ul Fitar greetings to the citizens of Lahore and the entire province. Dr. Usman Anwar also congratulated the officers and personnel of Punjab Police on Eid-ul-Fitr. On the direction of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, police teams remained on high alert throughout the province and provided full security to the worshipers and citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that more than 52,000 police officers and officials have been deployed on Eid security across Punjab. Punjab Police remained busy day and night to ensure the fulfillment of religious duty to the citizens in a peaceful environment and the establishment of peace.

 

IG Punjab said that more than 27,000 mosques and 775 open places for Eid gatherings were provided with full security on Eid-ul-Fitr. In the provincial capital, 08,000 police officers and personnel were deployed for the security of more than 05,000 mosques, Imam Bar Gah, Eid gatherings. Additional police force has been deployed at mosques, Imam Bar Gah, Eid Gahs, open places, parks. Dolphin Squad, PRU, Elite Force teams ensured constant patrolling around places of worship, graveyards,  On the instructions of IG Punjab, all RPOs, DPOs, Supervisory Officers personally reviewed the Eid security arrangements. A special campaign against one-wheeling, aerial firing, halarbazi was going on during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays and strict action was taken against the violators. On the instructions of Dr. Usman Anwar, the checking of vehicles, motorcycles and persons on the internal and external routes was made more strict, while legal actions against criminal acts like one-wheeling, aerial firing, kite flying remained continue across the province.
