Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that Punjab Police is a symbol of fear for robbers, terrorists, and evil elements in kacha areas and border districts. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that in border districts including Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, police crackdown is going on against dacoits and criminals. In the border districts, Punjab Police will be strengthened in terms of logistics, best human resources, transport and other latest equipment. IG Punjab directed to complete construction of 20 new checkpoints in Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan as soon as possible. Dr. Usman Anwar said that police teams are creating effective strategies to prevent smuggling, hoarding, in the inter-provincial border areas, New APCs, thermal cameras, night vision goggles and binoculars, quadcopters will be given to the Punjab Police to eradicate the terrorists in the border districts. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that access to the secret shelters of robbers, miscreants, with the use of quadcopters in operations should be ensured. He expressed these views today while presiding over a video link meeting at the Central Police Office.
In the meeting, measures were reviewed to make the operational efficiency of the Punjab Police more effective in kacha and border areas. Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs and DPOs of DG Khan and Bahawalpur ranges participated through video link. Additional IG South Punjab Kamran Khan briefed that the scope of intelligence-based operations against gangs, dacoits, miscreants is being expanded. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the officers to continue intelligence-based operations against dacoits, terrorists and criminals in kacha area and ensure the elimination of all active dangerous criminals. In the meeting, measures were reviewed to make the operational performance of the Punjab Police more effective in the border areas of South Punjab, Additional IG South Punjab Kamran Khan, RPO DG Khan Captain (retd) Sajjad Hasan Khan, RPO Bahawalpur. Rai Babar Saeed, DPO DG Khan Ahmad Mohiuddin, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Rizwan Umar Gondal, DPO Rajanpur Captain (retd) Dost Muhammad, DPO Muzaffargarh Husnain Haider and other officers participated through video link. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, AIG Development Sahibzada Bilal Umar, AIG Logistics Ismail ur Rehman Kharak and AIG Operations Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi and other officers were present in the meeting.
