IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar honored 11 police officers and officials with IG Gallantry Awards for their outstanding courage & bravery and performance.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conferred gallantry award to eleven police officers and officials who have shown excellent determination, courage and bravery in the line of duty and dangerous situation. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the officers and officials selected for the gallantry award for their excellent performance. IGP Punjab said that for the protection of life and property of the citizens and elimination of crimes, operations should be speeded up across the province. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the crime control and public service delivery process should be further improved by effective use of modern technology. He expressed these views in his address to the officers and officials selected for the gallantry awards at the Central Police Office.
According to the details, a ceremony was arranged in honor of the police officers and personnel who have created stories of determination, courage and bravery during duty at the Central Police Office, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded gallantry awards to 11 police officers and officials for their outstanding performance. IG gallantry awards were given to the officers and personnel of the police team that saved the woman from the angry mob in Ichra, certificates of appreciation were given to SP Shehzad Rafiq Awan and ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi. SHO Ichra Muhammad Bilal Arabi, ASI Sajid Majeed, Head Constables Usman and Adnan were honored with gallantry awards. Rajanpur Police Sub-Inspector Sajid Hasan was honored with the Gallantry Award for his outstanding role in eradicating the kacha criminals. Constable Abdul Raees of PHP Mianwali was awarded gallantry award for outstanding bravery and standing up as a lead wall against terrorists. Gallantry Award of Head Constable Haroon Rasheed Khan Shaheed was given to his family. Qaiser Shahzad and Aman ullah Khan of CTD were also awarded gallantry awards for their successful operation against terrorists.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that these dutiful officers and officials who performed excellently duty are a bright example for the entire force due to their steadfastness and measures will continue to encourage such brave and dutiful officers and officials. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the award-winning officers and officials to speed up targeted operations to protect lives and property of citizens and suppress criminals. Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, Commandant PTC Chung and other officers were also present in the ceremony.
