LAHORE: LOHARI GATE police have claimed to arrest a woman named Asia Bibi from Gujranwala and recovered a two-year old child Muhammad Umer who she had abducted about nine months ago from Mohalla Jamia Nizamia, Lohari Gate.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed while taking notice of the crime had directed SP City Investigation Ammara Athar to recover the child. She constituted a team headed by DSP Rang Mahal Atiq Sindhu and comprising In-charge Investigation Lohari Gate Inspector Hanif Jr. and other officials and gave it the target to arrest the woman with safe recovery of the child.
Accused Asia Bibi was issueless and frequently visited Data Darbar where she met Abid of Lohari Gate. Asia Bibi started visiting his house and kidnapped Abid’s son Muhammad Umer. A case was registered in October 2013.
